First thing this morning I received some very disturbing news about the death of a couple of friends, and this just after the death of an aunt on Monday and a good friend's husband last week. Instead of working on the still life, I decided to look for some possibilities for a painting in a photo of 14 friends (including me) taken a couple of weeks ago. Who knows when one of us will vanish from the picture for ever.
