Unvarnished Truth: Scenes from Petitto Studio
Images captured October 19, 2007

The new painting, Time and Tide, has a couple of layers on it already, and I'm working on some new additions. You can see what happens next. After the footprints, I sprayed it with fixative, lightly brushed off the loose charcoal and then coated it with a clear acrylic isolating layer.

I need to let that dry over night, so back to the little figure. I couldn't figure out what to do with the background on the right side ... it glowed a nice earthy red, but too much. So I found a way to cut it down without loosing it altogether.
