Yesterday my husband sat for the initial sketch of this little portrait. I also took some reference photos so today I'm just adjusting a few proportions and values. I plan to be away for a few days, so by the time I get back this underpainting will be dry and ready for some color. I'll have Bill sit again so that I can capture the skin tones ... I never quite believe a photo for accurate skin tones.
