The foreground figure in this painting has been bugging me for a long time. I have fallen into the trap of trying to fix the details, the color etc. to make it look right, but I checked the proportions more carefully and realized that the head and shoulders were really out of scale. Of course. So, back to work on that and it looked better pretty quickly. That just goes to show you how much time you can waste fiddling with details when the structure isn't right.
