This is what the garden looked like in June, 1998. From left to right on the lowest level are white "bridal veil" astilbe, a variegated hosta and a wild strawberry. Just above and between the astilbe and hosta you can see a dwarf white bleeding hear in bloom. Forgetmenot's have come and gone already, and small blue lobelia are blooming among the larger plants, but don't show in this photo. |

The area around the little cherry tree on the point has been cleaned up and covered with lanscape fabric and wood chips. The tree needs a little pruning, I think! Notice the large stump next to the little cherry tree. It had been an ash but we cut it down. |
