Pipes carry the water from the barn (seen in the background) down through a long conduit underground that ends at the little white pipe you see sticking out just above the liner about 1/3 of the way from left to right.The other white pipe, closer to the front, is an overflow from a cistern that collects rain water from the house roof. We normally use the water in that cistern for outdoor watering.
After a rain or two, some water has started to collect in the pond. Frogs and water insects of all kinds seem to appear from nowhere. We added a few new goldfish to eat mosquito larvae.
After watching a kingfisher diving for our goldfish, we got a few water lillies to give the fish some cover. Since it's late in the summer, we will wait 'till spring to get more water plants.
Some plastic still showed along the edges so we undertook an adjustment.
